Ashley Petrolati
"This work is two fold, both everything I want in the world and a complete joke. Make-Out Toys, I feel reflects the duality of Night and Day. The piece is both satisfying and completely empty for me as an artist and woman. It services a need but doesn't fill the void. The work is also funny, laughable, yet underscored by sad tones. It flips between everything I want, and a sad reality of what is not there."
Ashley recently graduated from the Massachusetts College of Design, with a BFA in sculpture. She lives and works in the Boston area.
