David Di Muro
David Di Muro is a self taught film maker who resides in Sydney, Australia. He has spent the last fourteen years writing, producing and directing. He established David Di Muro Productions ten years ago and is now Director of SL8IT Productions.
At the 2003 BrekFest Festival David was awarded a lifetime membership to the Australian Guild of Screen Composers in recognition of his live performance, to his original composition, for the short film Rising. In 2004 David’s original music to the short film Annie Get Your Whale Boy helped it secure the grand prize runner up award in the Musical Comedy category at the New York Midnight Madness Festival. Shortly after the video clip Magdalene which he produced causes so much controversy that he is forced to withdraw it from the public eye. Recently his short film REBIRTH was a finalist at the MetroScreen 2009 Film Festival Sydney, and Vampires of the Sun was selected for the Archetype Gallery’s End of Year Show in Sydney 2010.
In between creative endeavors he is a hired gun for various private companies and government agencies, and also does pro bono work for NPOs. His range of experience covers films, commercials, video clips, corporate promotions, educational videos, training videos, interactive media, new media and studio photography. David is now working with some of Australia's bright, new talent to bring his directorial ideas to the big screen.
