Renaissance

2011

In 2011 Summer I am working on a project, the theme is Nature and I am recreating new plants, and flowers digitally. I am using organic heirloom plants and flowers from our garden. Some of my friends will be participating in these project as well, with their portraits, but children first, because they are just as perfect, like the nature itself. I am really in the processing now in these project, but I love to do it. Recreating new images from the usual forms, it is like a rebirth for the plants and these forms of the mother nature. I entitled the project "Renessaince", using this well-known French term , reflecting to a rebirth of someone new, a golden era of the art and culture, what profoundly influenced and affected Europe and meant many other good things, modernism and perfection. The year of 2012 is the end of the World or a new starting of something really big and unusual. Something perfect hopefully. We are on the bridge now, between two things- the older world doesn't work anymore but we don't know what the future brings. What has to remain certainly? The kids, the plants, flowers, animals, the joy and happiness and many many positive thoughts.. Pictures like mirrors, show us the values and perfection around us in the world. We are responsible for these amazing things. Technically these images based on real photographs and scanned plant portraits , then digitally processed in Photoshop. The harmony and balance, the colors and relations of these images want to awake positive feelings in the spectators.
