Gary Kurzer

Once we freeze frame these elements there is time to consider our response.
As well as in nature, the manmade environment presents strong graphical imagery.
Not unlike the aboriginal experience of reading meaning into the imagery present in nature, our industrialised environment also displays visual elements that may be re-interpreted.
The camera, as with the brush or pencil, allows the artist to select a particular viewpoint and show this to an audience to share the experience.
With the advent of everything digital, the composition possibilities become virtually infinite; however my personal discipline is to use the photograph with minimal interference or manipulation.
One generous exception is for selected images that lend themselves to various themes, not unlike the Warhol presentation methodology.
