Stefan Auimatagi von Reiche also known as 'Sematagi', is a Samoan contemporary artist; photographer, sculptor, painter and writer. His education includes a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Sociology from the University of Auckland New Zealand. Since, childhood the influence of nature and traditional mediums, cultural representations through nature motifs, vibrant colours and rich, textures served to be an infinite resource from which to pull inspiration and imagery. The lush landscapes of the island, a visual feast of beauty and tranquility.
Stefan’s work has been highly saught after in Samoa, by foreign collectors. Private collections of his work exist in Frankfurt, Auckland, New York, Samoa, Atlanta, London, Washington D.C, Maryland, Colonge, Seol and Sydney.

- 2007 Head photographer for the funeral of King Malietoa Tanumafili II of Samoa.
