Sarah Breen Lovett
"With an architectural background, my work lies at the intersection of art and architecture.
I aim to create alternate architectural encounters through the use of moving image installation, documentary film work and interactive environments.
Specifically, I focus on intersections of light and shadow in architecture to engage experiential awareness of our surroundings and hence create alternate architectural encounters.
Spatial, cultural and natural phenomena are focused upon, and abstracted to their reduced representation in order to disengage the rational mind and engage experiential awareness."
Reframed Frame
This moving image installation piece will use filmed footage of the Chauvel Cinema re-configured, re-framed and re-presented within the space that it is filmed in.
This is a comment of the Zeitgeist of our time to mediate and experience every part of our existence through the multiple frames of image in computer, camera, and mobile phone.
